I'm 56 and it has been about 40 yrs. since I drove a motorcycle. Wow, have things changed. I did my home work and bought the Vulcan 800A right off the floor (2003 model). After some dealing, I got it for $5499, new. I really thought I wanted the Susuki 1400 Intruder but am now glad I stayed with my bike. In 1st, 2nd, the bike almost flew out from under me. This bike unloaded will keep up with the big boys. I love it. I showed it to some of my work friends and they just stand there looking with mouth open. Just the right amount of chrome against the black. The bike rides good but I haven't found the rear shock adjustment (probably under seat). Handles great and has great acceleration in all gears. My only complaint is not as many accessories offered for the 800A as the Classic or Drifter. The chain is no problem and easy to adjust. I give it a 3 to 4 on accessories but a 5 on great bike for the money. Be careful.
